The Rise News Live Movie Launch: Actor Allu Arjun’s new film, Pushpa: The Rise, has opened in theaters across the south in packed theaters. In Telugu states, opening day tickets went on presale, prompting many celebrities to joke about their failed attempts to find a ticket.
“Early show Hyderabad Tickets kaavali (wanted) (sic),” director Maruthi tweeted. “Mr. Kashtam. Nen kuda try Chestunna (Tough. Even I try), ”Raashi Khanna wrote in response to Maruthi’s tweet.
Pushpa is expected to bring people back to the movies after the second lockdown ends. There appears to be a massive demand in the Telugu States for the opening tickets. “Half of my day was spent answering phone calls from people asking for Pushpa tickets… there aren’t any available in all of Hyderabad. And I ask them if they can get me tickets 🙂 The josh of a big release is such an exciting time 🙂 I wish the whole team a blockbuster (sic) ”, wrote the filmmaker Rahul Ravindran on his Twitter page.
Director Sukumar and his team have been working around the clock to ensure the film hits theaters on Friday as announced. The film crew were strapped for time due to delays caused by the pandemic. However, the filmmakers wanted to release the film this week at all costs, so that it would give them enough time to work on the second part of Pushpa. The follow-up film is expected to be ready for release within the next 8-9 months.
