They allowed distributors who purchased the film to raise Rs 50 above the capped ticket price in the state. The ride was permitted for the first ten days of its run and later tickets will be sold at normal prices. The Telangana government has also allowed distributors to raise the price of cinema tickets there for the first week.
Speaking of this, Chiranjeevi said at a press conference, “The film’s budget is huge and we had no choice but to raise the ticket prices. Huge interest has accrued due to the pandemic and we cannot recover it with small increases. I hope the public will show us love in these difficult times.
Directed by Koratala Siva, Acharya will see Chiranjeevi in the lead role with Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde in key roles. The film will hit screens on April 29 with music by Mani Sharma. Kajal Aggarwal was supposed to play the female lead role in the film, but her role was cut despite filming a few scenes. It remains to be seen how Acharya will fare at the box office as it finally releases after numerous pandemic-related delays.
