Cate Blanchett makes an appearance in the music video for a song called “Mortar”, which will appear in his new movie TAR.
In the film, the 53-year-old actress plays the iconic classical musician Lydia Tarwhich means that the music will play a vital role in the story.
Hildur Guðnadottircellist and composer, worked with the author-director Todd Field to create the music for the film. One of their creations was “Mortar”.

Kate appears in the woozy and ominous visual alongside TAR co stars Nina Hoss, Noemie Merlant, Sophie Kauer.
“The idea was born out of conversations with Kate,” said Todd Told Variety about the exit. “This piece of film was conceived as an intermediate place for the main character to fall into himself, a place where the natural laws of his waking state do not apply. The shooting process involved all the cast members and was photographed at the end of each day during principal filming in Berlin and Southeast Asia in 2021.”
