In 2017, 20th Century Fox delivered exactly what fans have wanted for nearly 20 years – a violent, profanity-laden, R-rated Wolverine movie. Logan so great, because there was actually a faithful and tasteful swan song to end the character’s story arc.
Logan It might have seemed like a risk at the time, but it paid off massively, and due to its success, Redditors have their own idea of which characters should have their own. Logan-like sending. Between Conan, evil Dead‘s Ash, and even Michael Scott, Redditors have some interesting ideas, and some of them have even come up with their own story concepts.
Conan (Conan the Barbarian)
Injured-Reserve wants to see Schwarzenegger return one last time in one of his iconic ’80s characters. King Conan movie please?” There was a third movie in the works in the early 2000s with the Wachowski sisters attached to direct, which was called King Conan: Iron Crown.
Between the two visionary directors and the time it was being developed, it would have made for an incredible swansong. Unfortunately, that time has passed, and at this point it may be a bit too late to bring back Conan.
Ash (Evil Death)
the evil Dead The series has quietly become one of the most successful horror franchises. Apart from the original trilogy, there was the spin-off TV series Ash vs Evil Dead and a 2013 film reboot. But while the TV series saw the beloved evil Dead hero in his element, that was not enough to callmemacready. The Redditor thinks “Bruce Campbell’s Ash needs a farewell movie or another season of Ash vs Evil Dead.”
The series finale ended rather ambiguously, and even though it’s set 30 years in the future, fans never got to see Ash wreak havoc in the dystopian future hinted in. army of darkness, the third film in the series. The hero is why the evil Dead the series still holds up, and it would be great to see the zombie slayer with a chainsaw for a wandering arm in a madmax-like the swan song.
Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man (Spider-Man(
Spider-Man: No Coming Home gave both Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man perfect endings, which also shut down fans. Corn danish royalty still thinking “Spider-Man should get the Logan processing. » Specifically, they want Spiderman 4 featuring Maguire, which could see Peter Parker passing the torch to Miles Morales.
However, after all the hell the character has been through, including getting stabbed No coming homethe last thing people want to see is a swansong in the same vein as the emotionally draining Logan. If there is no doubt that it is at least a question of developing Spiderman 4 at Sony and fans would love to see it, it could do with a bit of levity and finally close the Maguire chapter in a more uplifting way.
Bryan Mills (taken)
When first released in 2008, Taken surprised audiences, as it was one of the most thrilling and entertaining action thrillers of the decade. No one expected Liam Neeson to be an action hero, and while the film inspired dozens of mediocre action films starring Neeson, including its two sequels, few other films are as exciting as the original.
AnotherJasonOnReddit thinks the show should be given another chance to wrap up the story of Bryan Mills (Neeson). Almost half-jokingly, the Redditor even creates the brilliant title, Taken 4 Granted. They even come up with a rather grueling synopsis, as they explain that it will be a “dark and bitter outing focusing on the angry widower as he enters his sixties and comes to terms with what little he has to show for his efforts to the life.”
Nick Fury (MCU)
hurricanerash wants to see Nick Fury in a gritty farewell film, explaining that “it would be interesting for him to have a solo film”. Fury is an interesting choice, as he never got his own movie and only ever served as a supporting character, and that’s how he’s best utilized. But Fury has his own comics that a potential swan song could be based on.
It would be easy to say that the character has grown more grizzled over the years after seeing so many alien invasions and seeing so many of his friends die, which would be a great Logan-influenced solo film. However, all of this would be true if it weren’t for the fact that he’s currently in a good mood and relaxing in space after sending a Skrull to Earth to replace him, which was revealed at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Indiana Jones (Indiana Jones)
Gabrosine wants to see Indiana Jones get the farewell the character deserves, hoping that “they salvage something from the wreckage of the previous movie.” The Redditor might get exactly what he wants, as the upcoming fifth film, slated for release in 2023, is directed by James Mangold, who was the very director behind Logan.
Although the film has fairly low expectations from mainstream audiences and a low bar after The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Mangold could have been a genius choice for the director. If Mangold takes the same approach he did with Logan, Indiana Jones 5 could very well be Jones’ swan song.
Professor X (X-Men)
Although it is not particularly his film, Logan also saw a sendoff of sorts for Professor Xavior (Patrick Stewart), and it was a terrific and heartbreaking portrayal of the character that audiences had never seen before. The character suffered from dementia, and it was so shocking to see the former statesman yelling profanity at Logan.
However, LA_Explorer wants to see Professor X in his Logan-like a movie. The Redditor actually has a fascinating pitch for the movie, which is said to be “a trippy Patrick Stewart Prof. X movie that takes place in his mind.” But if that ever happens, it looks like it won’t be for a while, as Stewart returns to the character in one form or another. Professor X is one of the rumors Doctor Strange 2 cameos that apparently came true, as his voice can be heard in the trailer.
Michael Scott (the office)
OfficeMichael Scott is one of television’s most iconic comedy characters, and Cranestoic wants to see the character return in a feature film rather than a TV show. The Redditor argues that’s what “Ricky Gervais did for the UK version of the show”. What the user is referring to is the movie David Brent: Life on the Roadwhich follows former manager Wernham Hogg as he tries to become a rockstar.
Michael’s story was wrapped up perfectly by season 7 of Office, so a film is not really necessary. But at the same time, given that Michael Scott was so underused when he returned for the series finale, the movie could rectify that mistake.
Ben Affleck’s Batman (DCEU)
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice could have been a polarizing film, but everyone can agree that the Batman solo scenes, such as the incredible fight in the warehouse, were the best parts. Of all the Batman movie portrayals, Affleck’s Batman is also the most comedic. And DrRexMorman wants to see a “Batfleck solo movie” with more of that granularity. Unfortunately, there has been so much hope and disappointment surrounding a potential Batfleck movie.
A script was written by Affleck himself with him in the director’s chair as well, and insiders who had read it claimed it was the best Batman material they had ever read. At least fans will see Batfleck again, in the next DC Extended Universe movie the flash does for Batman what No coming home made for Spider-Man. The film will see Ben Affleck’s Batman, as well as Michael Keaton’s Batman, return in one form or another.
Luke Skywalker (Star Wars)
The Last Jedi to divide star wars fans into two separate camps because fans think it’s either a masterpiece or the worst movie ever made. LearnHumility think it’s the latter, as they despise the way Luke Skywalker has been portrayed, saying “he looked like a college girl”.
The Redditor foresees the possibility that Skywalker’s swan song where the film focuses on him not being quite the second coming he believes himself to be. While simply repeating the same beats as The Last Jedi is unlikely, Skywalker could probably reappear. In a way, he already has, since he appeared in the last episode of The Mandolorian season 2.
