Olivia Wilde played Chris Pine’s girlfriend in a movie 10 years ago

Olivia Wilde’s new thriller Don’t Worry Darling just premiered at the Venice Film Festival, and it’s not the first time she’s worked with Chris Pine.

The festival was full of drama, with Harry Styles embrace her co-star Nick Kroll and ‘spit’ on Chris Pine – and fans think he’s estranged from the director.

It comes as the Watermelon Sugar singer failed to sit next to his girlfriend, with Chris perching between them during the screening.

However, there is no drama between Chris and Olivia who starred in a movie over a decade ago, are great friends and have nothing but good things to say to each other.

Olivia and Chris have never revealed how they knew each other, but it seems likely that they met on the set of People Like Us and became good friends.

The actor was one of the first people to be cast in Don’t Worry Darling in April 2020, alongside Florence Pugh, Shia LaBeouf and Chris Pine.

Talk to magazine interview On September 1, Olivia said, “Chris, who I’ve known for about 20 years, probably agreed to do the movie at first as a favor for an old pal, and then he really took it and ran away.”

In the film, Chris plays a character called Frank, who is Jack’s boss and Shelley’s husband, played by Gemma Chan.

He is also the leader of the utopian community in the desert called “Victory Project”, where the thriller takes place.

Shia LaBeouf was cast as Harry Styles but he leave the movie because he felt like the actors didn’t have enough time to rehearse.

It was later revealed that Olivia still wanted the As It Was singer to play the role, but he couldn’t due to other work commitments.

When the pandemic hit and his tour was cancelled, Harry then agreed to play Jack Chambers in the thriller alongside Chris and Florence.

“Do you know the incels? she then asked Maggie, before explaining, “They’re basically disenfranchised, mostly white men, who believe they have the right to have sex with women.”

“They believe that society has now robbed them – that the idea of feminism goes against nature and we need to be put back in the right place,” the 38-year-old continued.

The director added that Jordan is someone who “legitimizes certain aspects of their movement because he is a ‘former teacher.’
