It’s the season to talk about Christmas movies that haven’t been made yet! Turns out there’s a dead Pool the one Ryan Reynolds wrote with dead Pool co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick which unfortunately were never made.
In an interview with Big problem to promote his current Christmas movie, FieryReynolds explained how he wanted to bring holiday spirit as well as musical delights to dead Pool.
“I would love to see a song and dance number in a dead Pool movie,” he said. “Four years ago, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and I wrote a Christmas movie starring Deadpool. But it got lost in the reshuffle of Disney’s acquisition of Fox and it never got made.
Let’s hope Marvel’s head honcho Kevin Feige decides it’s worth rediscovering this holiday theme. dead Pool script. It’s not out of the realm of possibility, especially since the Marvel Cinematic Universe is already entering special holiday territory with the release of the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (featuring Kevin Bacon as Kevin Bacon!) November 25e.
Reynolds, for his part, is hopeful.
“Maybe one day we can make this movie,” he added. “It’s not a musical, but it’s a dead Pool Christmas movie. So one day.
We and Reynolds will have to wait and see, although we know that Reynolds will play the Merc with a Mouth at least once more in Dead Pool 3which will also see the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
